Metrocard machine outage scheduled for Sunday morning

No credit or debit cards will accepted in subway station MetroCard machines early Sunday morning.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is shutting down acceptance of plastic cards in order to perform maintenance.

The MTA said there the no-card period is scheduled for 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday with the possibility of the shutdown lasting until noon.

Oh, yes, the machines will still accept cash as usual.
