HOWARD BEACH — The NYPD is investigating the death of a man found floating near the Joseph P. Addabbo Sr. Memorial Bridge late Monday night.
At about 11:45 p.m., police responded to the call of an unconscious man near the bridge, authorities said. Members of the NYPD Harbor Unit found a man, described as white and approximately 35 to 40 years old in the water, and after retrieving him pronounced him dead on arrival, police said.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and the city medical examiner will be looking into the cause of death.
