JAMAICA — The NYPD was seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a Jamaica McDonald’s.
Just before 11 p.m. last Thursday, the suspect entered the McDonald’s, at 181-25 Hillside Ave., and hid inside the bathroom, police said.
After the restaurant closed, he exited the restroom wearing a mask and allegedly pulled out a black, semi-automatic handgun and forced two of the three workers into the freezer and the remaining worker into the safe, according to police.
After gaining access to the safe, the suspect then removed money and cuffed the remaining worker before fleeing onto Avon Street, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male with long black hair between the ages of 28 and 33, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was seen wearing a black ski mask, a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue pants.
