ROCKAWAYS — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in front of 43-12 Rockaway Beach Blvd. Friday, police said.
Cops said victim Peren Phillippe, of Beach 100th St. in Rockaway Park, was shot multiple times in the torso and legs and was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.
The New York Post reported that Phillippe had allegedly been followed after he got off the A train at the Beach 44th Street stop at about 8:15 p.m.
Police said 18-year-old Diamonte Alexander was arrested and charged with Phillippe’s murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to the NYPD, a 9mm handgun was recovered after Alexander was apprehended.
