Police identified the man shot early Friday morning on 137th Street in Flushing as Leslie Balogh, 46, of 166th Street in Whitestone.
According to the NYPD, at 1:45 a.m., May 3, officers responded to the report of a man shot in front of 31-50 137th St. Upon arrival, officers discovered a white male with gunshot wounds to his face and torso, police said.
Balogh was transported to Flushing Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The homicide remains under investigation as police search for a suspect in the fatal shooting.
