Senior last seen at Jamaica subway station: Cops

JAMAICA — Police were looking for a missing elderly woman who was last seen entering the F train subway station at 169th Street last week.

Edelmira Ledesma, 77, was wearing a tan dress and black sandals when she entered the subway station around 11 p.m. Aug. 15, police said.

She is described as a heavy-set Hispanic woman, 4 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown eyes, gray hair and a birthmark on her face.

Anyone with information in regards to this missing person is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All call are strictly confidential.
