Missing autistic teen last seen leaving LIC school [With Video]

The NYPD is asking for help finding an autistic teenager who was last seen at his Long Island City school Friday.

Avonte Oquendo, 14, was last spotted around 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Center Boulevard School on 51 Ave.

Police said Avonte cannot communicate verbally. He is 5-foot-3, weighs 125 pounds and was last seen wearing black jeans, black sneakers and a gray, striped shirt.

Anyone with information about Avonte is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
