OZONE PARK — Authorities were searching for suspect who allegedly demanded money at a bank in Ozone Park and made off with an unknown amount of cash, the NYPD said.
On Sept. 14 at about 11:20 a.m., the suspect went into Valley National Bank, at 107-01 Liberty Ave., and allegedly passed a note asking for money, cops said.
After he received some cash, the suspect then fled on foot westbound along Liberty Avenue, police said. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported, according to the NYPD.
The suspect was described as a dark-skinned black man who is about 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, police said. He has short hair, and was wearing a dark blue Yankees baseball cap, a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers, cops said.
