Today’s news:

Wills wins another Council term

TimesLedger Newspapers

City Councilman Ruben Wills (D-Jamaica) won a second term in City Hall Tuesday.

Wills earned 95.2 percent of the votes with 69 percent of precincts reporting in Tuesday’s race, handily defeating Unity Party candidate Mireille Leroy, who pulled in 4.8 percent, according to preliminary numbers from the Associated Press.

Wills was first elected to the District 28 seat covering South Jamaica and parts of Jamaica, South Ozone Park and Richmond Hill in 2010 after the death of Councilman Thomas White, Jr. He was elected again the following year to serve out the remainder of White’s term.

Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
Totally amazing, Katz wins by a landslide as does I. Daneek Miller and now this clown wins big in his district.

What the hell are you people thinking.

So both Queens and especially Jamaica, keep sliding down the toilet.

You folks really are fools!

You all get what you deserve, CRAP.

Joe you are lying. Miller and Katz are great people who will do great things. Stop your fear mongering and take your fear mongering out of the site and on to Queenscrap with all the wannabees there that will listen to comments like yours.

Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
Shafran, not fear mongering, just reality. You have no idea that Miller or Katz will do great things, but see me in four years.

Explain to me how Katz and Miller are "great" people. Please inform me exactly what Miller has done for the community of Jamaica that he has lived in. Please, state two facts of what he has done to improve Jamaica. Just two.

You are typical of people who have drunk the kool-aid and have become sheep.

Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
By the way Shafran from Bayside, you do not even live in Jamaica, you have no idea, what our community is like and how it has been going downhill for decades due to poor leadership. So, you do not get a say so in another community that you do not live in and have no idea what is going in it.

As usual another uninformed or misinformed individual, the kind that most of our politicians like, you are easier to control.
