The NYPD was asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in a grand larceny in Astoria.

Police said that during the afternoon of Nov. 6, the suspect allegedly went into St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cathedral, at 30-11 30th Dr., and took cash and jewelry before fleeing.

Those with information should contact NYPD’s Crimestoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting its website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
