Man bought shoes at Ridgewood shop with stolen card: NYPD

RIDGEWOOD — Police released a surveillance image of a man who allegedly used a stolen ATM card to buy sneakers in a Ridgewood shoe store April 2, the NYPD said.

The Police Department said the man, who was believed to be about 20 to 25 years old and 5-foot-7, allegedly bought shoes from J and M Sneakers, at 57-34 Myrtle Ave., with someone else’s card.

Purchases charged to a stolen credit card, regardless of their cost, are treated as grand larcenies, the NYPD said.
