Queens Library has updated its Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local 1321 Queens Library Guild for the first time since 1999.
The library’s staff has been working on an expired contract since 1999. The current agreement, extended through to the end of the year, updates local terms and working conditions, but does not involve wage discussions, as those are negotiated directly between the city and the main union, DC 37, a Queens Library spokeswoman said.
“The important thing is that the library and the union worked collaboratively to make this happen,” she said.
