An unidentified man was found dead on the College Point shoreline Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The body was found on the northwest shore of MacNeil Park, which sits north of Poppenhusen Avenue.

A Police Department spokesman said they believed the man was homeless.

No criminality was suspected in his death initially, but the investigation was ongoing, police said.
