In a love triangle gone wrong, a jealous man was killed in a police shooting after he shot his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of Resorts World Casino Monday morning in Jamaica, according to the police.

Police from the 106th Precinct responded to a 911 call at 2:20 a.m. of a person shot outside Resorts World Casino.

Upon arrival, officers saw Patricia Mohammed, 55, from Brooklyn, with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, the NYPD said. Emergency medical services responded and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined the identity of the suspect, her ex-boyfriend, who was sought in connection with the homicide and fled the scene in a white Dodge Charger, police said.

The new boyfriend of the woman, who was inside Resorts when she was shot, was unharmed, according to police.

At 5:53 a.m. officers assigned to the Queens Warrant Squad a sergeant, detective, and police officer in plainclothes operating a white unmarked department van found the white Dodge Charger fitting the description in a parking lot in front of 875 Pennsylvania Ave. in Brooklyn.

When officers approached the vehicle, a man inside the vehicle displayed a firearm and began to fire toward the unmarked van at the officers, police said.

All three police officers discharged their firearms in the direction of the armed suspect, striking him multiple times, the NYPD said. The suspect was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A .380 caliber semi-automatic firearm and additional ammunition were recovered at the scene, according to police.

The police officers were not injured and went to Jamaica Hospital to be treated for tinnitus.

The identity of the deceased suspect was pending family notification and the investigation was ongoing.
