Suspect in Kew Gardens robbery wanted: Police

KEW GARDENS — Police were asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a July robbery in Kew Gardens.

On Sunday, July 26, at around 4:30 pm, the suspect removed a wallet, jeans and belt belonging to a 38-year-old male from the men’s locker room at a 24 Hour Fitness club located at 80-02 Kew Gardens Road, police said.

Thirty minutes later, the suspect used the victim’s credit card to purchase $55 worth of food at a KeyFood Supermarket located at 108-27 Queens Blvd., police added.

The suspect is described as a white male who was last seen wearing a black cap, glasses, a white T-shirt, dark jeans and a black watch on his left wrist.
