Forest Hills butt stabber arrested

FOREST HILLS — A man who police say repeatedly stabbed a subway passenger on a Forest Hills train late last year was arrested Jan. 12, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Matthew Jacobs, 26, of St. Albans, was arrested after he stabbed a 42-year-old man in his buttocks. The victim was with his 13-year-old daughter and exiting an F Train at the 71st-Continental Avenues station on Dec. 20, 2015.

The victim first saw Jacobs on a Queens-bound R train, according to the criminal complaint. The suspect then attacked the victim and his daughter were as they were waiting for a Jamaica-bound F train at about 7:20 p.m. Jacobs bumped into the victim’s buttocks, “causing substantial pain.”

Jacobs allegedly stabbed the man a number of additional times at multiple subway stops, police said.

The suspect followed the father and daughter through the turnstile as they exited the stop,the complaint said.

Only later did the victim find three puncture wounds to his left buttock and one to his right buttock, each of them about half an inch wide, according to police.

The victim reported the incident and was taken to Forest Hills Hospital, police added.

Jacobs is charged with second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a weapon, stalking and harassment.

He is currently being held on $30,000 bail and is due back in court on Feb. 8.
