A man was mugged at the Laundryland dry cleaners located at 114-25 Merrick Blvd. in Jamaica Wednesday, police said.

Two men “dragged the 62 year-old male victim to the ground, punched him in the face and removed his wristwatch” around 1:40 p.m.. according to police from the 113th precinct. The victim was also robbed of approximately $500 in cash and now has a black eye, police said. The two individuals later fled north on Merrick Boulevard.

Both of the suspects are black males in their 20s and were last seen wearing black-hooded sweaters and dark-colored sweatpants, police said. The first suspect, who is 6 feet, was wearing black sneakers, while the second suspect, who is 5-foot-9, was wearing white sneakers.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached video and photographs in connection with the robbery. Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
Damn, St. Albans, which is supposed to be the nice area of Jamaica or was, just seems to be getting worse due to ghetto nonsense and typical Jamaica ghetto thugs who beat and robbed a 62 year old man at a laundromat in broad daylight.

Watching the disturbing video ( https://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20170504/st-albans/robbery-st-albans-114-25-merrick-blvd-laundromat) you can tell right off the bat that the hooded black thugs were up to no good, not just by their look but by their behavior and walk as well.

Time to DE-GHETTOTIZE Jamaica with some kind of Raid Ghetto Spray or traps, you know ghetto thugs check in, but they don’t check out.

Now ghetto hood rats, time to chime in and write some unintelligent gibberish comment.

Hey Joe from Queens says:
He was robbed cause he had a Rolex watch and was picking on black women inside. That caught attention to some —— to rob him. Robbing people is ——'s specialty in NYC cause they know how the system works. They invented the system and Mayor Deblasio is their employee.

Funny how Joe Moretti being Italian grew up with handouts is still living in the same neighborhood while all his friends and families moved to a better neighborhood. Poor Joe.

Wow..... Talk about ignorant racists....

Joe, I expectED more from you. This engagement in idiotic racial profiling that you've displayed just lost you a lot of my respect. Yes, they're criminals. No one denies that. But whites, asians, latinos also commit crimes. Not only "ghetto thugs." I respect your fight for civic improvement but you've gotta work on your tactics.

Hey "says".............................

What "racism" are you even talking about. And what idiotic racial profiling. No profiling going on, two black guys whose little behavior on the video tape said loud and clear some crap was going to happen. And as far as "ghetto thugs", that covers all races who do crap like this, but in Jamaica the majority of the nonsense happens to be black, a fact. And the majority population is black, hardly Asian or white.

But go by the drug place on Hillside Ave and 175th early in the morning and you will see plenty of ghetto thugs hanging out, mostly from Long Island, getting out of their taxis and mostly white.

Sure what I said was harsh, but hardly racists. One just gets tired over and over again about hearing the continuous nonsense that goes on in this community. What about us civilized people in the community (and there are MANY) who are sick and tired of this kind of crap every other day.

You are the one that place the label of "black" on ghetto thugs, not me.

This is where I take issue:

Time to DE-GHETTOTIZE Jamaica with some kind of Raid Ghetto Spray or traps, you know ghetto thugs check in, but they don’t check out.

And actually, crime is spread pretty evenly across races. It's public perception that distorts things.

Look, I admire you for your grassroots efforts for civic improvement, and for being a voice of reason here on the TL comments section, but at times you take it too far. This is an example of such.

Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
Point taken "says" but if you read my comments or blog, you know I take it to the edge. AND also my comments and posts on my blog reflect the mood I am in from what I saw in the community or saw and so my emotions take over at times from my head.

And my take on crime & other nonsense is just focused on the community I live in, no other ones, so I am not making an overall comparison, just focusing on Jamaica.
