Man arrested on charges of shooting girlfriend in Kew Garden Hills: Cops

Police have arrested and charged a Kew Garden Hills man after he allegedly shot his girlfriend in the head after an argument Sunday morning, the NYPD said.

According to police, 43-year-old Guo Hui Jiang is accused of shooting his 27-year-old girlfriend one time in the head in her 78th Road and 141 Street apartment at around 10 a.m. Sunday morning. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

Jiang faces charges of attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment of a child, , using criminal paraphernalia and criminal possession of marijuana, police said.

The victim’s 8-month daughter was in the apartment at the time of the shooting.

The investigation was continuing, police said.
