There are many volunteer civic activists in Queens. One is Ashook Ramsaran of Fresh Meadows and another was the late Nancy Cataldi of Richmond Hill. They are two of the many volunteer civic leaders who made their neighborhoods better places to live. Comment

Queens Department of Buildings Commissioner Ira Gluckman was greeted with questions and comments on how to be more efficient. Community Board 8 Chairman Alvin Warshaviak had the board’s Public Safety Committee deliver its report on the number of houses rented out to St. John’s University students illegally. Comment
