A Flushing student from Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology has been charged with conspiring to support a foreign terrorist organization after a federal investigation revealed that the terror suspect had been planning to attack various New York City landmarks on behalf of the Islamic State, according to the authorities. Man shot and killed by off-duty corrections officer in Jamaica

An alleged gunman was shot and killed by an off-duty New York State Corrections Officer late Saturday night in Jamaica, according to the NYPD. Officers from the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill responded to reports of a robbery in front of 82-10 Rockaway Blvd. around 10:30 p.m. when they discovered an unidentified male who was unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. Demetrius Blackwell indicted by grand jury in NYPD Detective Brian Moore’s death

The alleged shooter of NYPD Detective Brian Moore was charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen goods after a grand jury indictment and arraignment was announced Thursday by Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
