An Astoria man has been sentenced to up to four years in state prison in the fatal hit-and-run collision that took the life of 21-year-old Betty Jean DiBiasio in June, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced last week. Nicholas Colleran, 25, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and failure to yield the right of way for going through a stop sign and striking the young Astoria resident in a marked crosswalk. Man shot and killed outside Sunnyside strip joint

Police were looking for a gunman who shot and killed a 38-year-old man outside a Sunnyside strip club early Saturday morning. Officers from the 108th Precinct, responding to a 911 call of a person shot at Queens Boulevard and 50th Street, discovered the victim with a gunshot to his torso, according to the NYPD.
