Peralta pushes to clean up Roosevelt Avenue

When 85-year-old Frederick Wiseman spent eight weeks filming his highly acclaimed, “In Jackson Heights,” the grand master of American documentary filmmaking would shoot 12 hours a day “exploring one of the most diverse communities on the planet,” he said.- There was one thing Wiseman would not do while filming more than 140 hours of content: Walk Roosevelt Avenue after the sun went down. Police release sketch of man in Vetrano murder case

Police have released the sketch of a man they would like to question in connection with the murder of Howard Beach resident, Karina Vetrano. The 30-year-old was found dead Aug. 2 after leaving her home at 164-30 84th St. to go jogging down an unfrequented path in Spring Creek Park.
