Last two gang members sentenced in fatal Woodhaven beating

The final two members of a group of teenagers who beat and stomped an 18-year-old Long Island man to death in March 2011 have been sentenced to prison in what Queens District Attorney Richard Brown called a “horrific” and “heinous” case that occurred after the victim attended a birthday party hosted by two openly gay men in Woodhaven. Jamaica man sets apt on fire; 11 families displaced: Red Cross

A Jamaica man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly setting fire to the apartment where he lived, according to the NYPD and the FDNY. The Red Cross responded to the scene and had to temporarily provide housing for a number of families by putting them up in nearby hotels. Comment
