Bell Center set to close at year’s end

Dozens of volunteers walked overnight at MacNeil Park Saturday as part of the 2012 Relay for Life in College Point. The event raised more than $32,000 for the American Cancer Society, according to the organization’s website. Comment

Taste of LIC raises funds for Chocolate Factory

The seventh-annual Taste of LIC, held at Gantry Plaza State Park, featured more than 50 restaurants and 100 local businesses. The event, which raised money for The Chocolate Factory Theater’s 2012-13 season of dance, theater, music and multimedia performances, was sponsored by TF Cornerstone and JetBlue. Comment
