MTA to run free Rockaway shuttle train

Residents of the hurricane-ravaged Rockaway peninsula will be able to ride a free rail shuttle starting at 4 a.m. Tuesday. Comment
An emergency order enforcing an odd-even license plate system for gas and diesel purchases throughout the five boroughs has been extended through this Friday, Nov. 23, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. Comment
A temporary, makeshift signal system has kept the Long Island Rail Road from fully operating its full compliment of trains through tunnels affected by Hurricane Sandy earlier this month, a spokesman for the MTA said. Comment
