An exciting new international collaboration with British-Indian electronic music producer DJ Swami, traditional Punjabi folk musicians (including Vijay Yamla), all synchronized with live mixed digital projections by John Minton. MOVE to electronic dance music along with Punjabi dhol drums, vocals, stringed instruments, and the hypnotic double flute algoza. Powerful, traditional Punjabi melodies interact with live electronic drum machines, synthesizer arpeggios, and basslines! PunjabTronix is commissioned by Asian Arts Agency and is part of Re-Imagine India cultural projects.
