Find solution to LaGuardia’s geese

As we all remember, back on Jan. 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 bound for Charlotte, N.C., was forced to make an emergency landing on the Hudson River. About three minutes into the flight, the aircraft encountered a flight of Canada geese, which were sucked into both engines, resulting in a total loss of thrust. Comments (1)

GOP chooses Halloran to run for Ackerman seat

The Queens County Republican Party endorsed City Councilman Dan Halloran (R-Whitestone) to run for the congressional seat that will be vacated by U.S. Rep Gary Ackerman (D-Bayside) next year and Halloran was set to make a formal announcement at 5 p.m. Monday in Flushing. Comments (1)
