Whitestone hockey player hit by opponent: Report

WHITESTONE - A 15-year-old roller hockey player from Whitestone has been arrested and charged with felony assault after allegedly striking another player in the head with a hockey stick, according to a published report.

Newsday reported that Patrick Eppler, 15, allegedly hit 17-year-old Michael Tanon, a goalie for the opposing team, in the head during a roller hockey game Nov. 14 at Whitestone
