Friends and family of a homeless man killed in a car accident in Bayside several weeks ago gathered at the Community Baptist Church last Thursday to say goodbye.
George Wright, 38, died after he was hit by a car during a rainstorm June 6 near Northern Boulevard and dragged about two blocks to the dead-end side of 217th Street near 43rd Avenue. Police have not identified the driver who hit Wright.
