The submission deadline is Monday, June 23, and only slides and/or photos will be accepted. The exhibit will be up July 19 through Aug. 31 with an opening reception Sunday, July 27 from 1-3 p.m. in sTudio 7 Gallery, Fort Tilden.

Artworks can be of various media including, but not limited to: Original paintings, limited edition prints, photographs, jewelry, sculpture (provide your own pedestals), pottery, ceramics, stained glass. Only artworks that were not in previous RAA exhibitions will be accepted.

RAA asks the following for submissions:

• Up to five slides/photos of the works being submitted for inclusion are to be placed in a slide sheet/envelope and labeled with slide/photo number, artist’s name, medium, title of work, size and price. A corresponding slide/photo list sheet must accompany this submission. The sheet should include any specific installation requirements.

• Artist statement, biography/resume (e-mail to RAA, if possible at rockart116@aol.com)

• Self-addressed stamped envelope

All of this should be mailed to the Rockaway Artists Alliance, 260 Beach 116 Street, Rockaway Park, NY 11694

Accepted artists will b notified by Monday, June 30.

Accepted artwork must be dropped off to sTudio 7, Fort Tilden on either Monday, July 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or at the same time Tuesday, July 8.

There is a hanging fee per artist, which is reduced for members. RAA also asks that a 10 percent donation be made to RAA on all sales.

Works on paper, such as watercolors, drawings and photographs, must be securely framed with wires across the back for hanging and must be framed under glass.

Submitted photographs of work may be used for publicity purposes. Those submitting will be asked to sit in the gallery one day during the run of the exhibition.
