The New York Yankees continue to show their commitment to the Bronx with further support of its youth and a gift that came just at the right time for high school students living in Community Board 10.
In what was a bittersweet moment for CB 10 district manager Jimmy Vacca, the board joined the Bronx Bombers in presenting five children from throughout the community with $500 checks to help them with their continued education and to thank them for their continued community activism. The presentation took place at the board offices on Thursday, December 29 and marked the final time Vacca would present the checks before taking over the office of City Council at the start of the New Year.
