Jamaica HS, Campus Magnet get safety funds

Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday that Campus Magnet High School in Cambria Heights will enter the program along with Jamaica.

The Impact program was created four years ago to establish a "climate of order and safety at a small number of schools that accounted for a disproportionate amount" of school crime.

The mayor did not immediately release data indicating the number of violent incidents that have occurred recently at Jamaica High School or Campus Magnet.
