Authorities said the man, who is described only as an Asian man in his 40s, was stabbed in the chest by a group of three black men after an altercation near the corner of Elder Avenue and Colden Street. The man was taken to New York Hospital Queens, just a few blocks away, in critical condition, where he died later in the day Sunday, police said.
Police said the man's identity will not be released until they contact his relatives in China.
