Muss Development Principal Jason Muss said the initial sales rush can largely be attributed to the company's newly opened sales center, which he said includes state-of-the-art technology rarely presented to New York City home buyers."Selling this many units so quickly proves that this really is among the most spectacular residential developments in the history of Queens County," said Muss. "Everyone who has visited the sales office has been blown away by our 9-foot-by-14-foot model of the project, which shows the four-acre rooftop park, the amazing range of amenities and beautiful residential buildings. In addition, our five 60-inch flat screen monitors, mounted on a wall in the background of the model, make it extremely easy to select an apartment."Construction has been underway at the Sky View Parc, originally called Flushing Town Center, for about a year, after a lengthy environmental remediation was completed at the 14-acre site on College Point Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue. When completed, Sky View Parc will feature six residential towers and a rooftop park set above an 800,000-square-foot retail shopping center. Muss said the first phase of the project, which will include 448 condominiums, an elevated four-acre park and the retail center, are expected to be completed by the summer of 2009.Muss said the phase one condos, which recently went on sale, are priced from $400,000 to more than $2 million.Sky View Parc is one of three billion-dollar developments currently in the pipeline for the Flushing area. The $1 billion redevelopment plan for Municipal Lot 1 in downtown Flushing and the planned redevelopment of Willets Point, expected to cost in excess of $3 billion, are also being pushed by the city, but are progressing at a far slower pace. For more information on Sky View Parc, visit www.skyviewparc.com or call (718) 886-8899.Reach reporter Stephen Stirling by e-mail at Sstirling@
