Parishioners of Holy Rosary Church and neighboring parishes are anticipating the arrival of Cardinal Edward Egan for a special mass on Tuesday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
Hosting the Northeast Bronx Vicariate Bicentennial Celebration mass is a big honor for the local church, which has spruced up its lower level, Father Winters Hall, just for the visit.
Just before Christmas, church pastor Fr. Robert Quarato asked members of the Holy Name Society, an organization of Catholic men with a chapter at the church, if they could arrange to have the 4,000 square feet of walls in Father Winters Hall primed and repainted
