Renzo Ferrari, a former supervisor of the Queens West District 5 Garage in Maspeth, died last Thursday from complications due to cancer. He was 54.
Ferrari began his career with the agency as a sanitation worker in 1979 assigned to the Manhattan District 8 Garage. He rose through the ranks and served as supervisor to the Queens West District 5 Garage in Maspeth and general superintendent Level I assigned to the Brooklyn North Born Office. His final assignment as bureau operations chief.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen, and children David, 19, and Olivia, 17.
