FAR ROCKAWAY — Police were investigating the death of a Rosedale woman whose body was found early Tuesday morning at the beach.
Around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of an unconscious female at Beach 32nd Street and Far Rockaway Boulevard, police said.
When they arrived, they found Athea Lewis, 41, of 231st Street, unresponsive and unconscious with severe head trauma, according to investigators.
EMS crews arrived and pronounced hear dead at the scene, police said.
