The TimesLedger Newspapers is merging two of its southeast Queens editions into the Jamaica Times to give readers more comprehensive coverage of their community.

The Jamaica Times, which is the chain’s flagship in southeast Queens, will now offer more stories about adjoining neighborhoods. Readers will be able to track news developments as well as trends in the arts and business across a wider geographic area where residents share common interests.

The first issue of the new Jamaica Times, incorporating the Queens Village Times and the Laurelton Times, will be published July 7.

Later this summer the TimesLedger Newspaper will be launching a new web site, which will enhance our daily coverage of southeast Queens and give voices in the community a better forum.
