Police seek man in stabbing of woman, 51

GLENDALE — The NYPD was seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a Glendale assault.

Just after noon last Thursday, the suspect allegedly stabbed a 51-year-old woman multiple times in her torso, arms, neck and face inside 80-19 59th St. before fleeing, police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, according to police.

The suspect is described as a 63-year-old Hispanic male about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds with short sandy hair and black glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) ,then entering TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
