QUEENS — Three Brooklyn men have been indicted on charges of burglarizing several homes in Queens in July, the district attorney announced Monday.
The three men were identified by the borough’s top prosecutor as James Jenkins, 29, of 2949 W. 28th St.; Jonathan Rios, 21, of 72 Linden St.; and Calvin Covington, 45, of 3311 Surf Ave.
The trio allegedly robbed homes in Flushing, Ridgewood and Woodhaven, the Queens DA said. They were also observed allegedly attempting to break into three homes in South Ozone Park and Jamaica, the DA said.
When the men were arrested last month, police allegedly recovered a $7,500 Louis Vuitton handbag, watches, an Xbox and video games, the DA said. They were charged with burglary, attempted burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar’s tools, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the DA.
They each face up to 15 years in prison if convicted, the DA’s office said.
