Two men were shot near the South Jamaica Houses at around 4:38 p.m. Saturday, the NYPD said.

The Police Department said a 33-year-old and a 34-year-old were both struck at least once in their backs while outside near 109th Avenue and 160th Street.

They were brought to Jamaica Hospital and expected to survive, according to the NYPD.

Police said the investigation was ongoing and no arrests had been made.

Joe Moretti from Jamaica says:
Welcome to the jungle. Just another day in the hood.

This area need cleaned up big time, but our local leaders, including church leaders, just pretty much ignore the area and do very little if anything at all.

This also says much about this community as well, MUCH.
