A Cambria Heights father was struck by a car and killed while bicycling blocks away from his home Friday morning, the NYPD and his mother said.

The Police Department said officers were called to the corner of 120th Avenue and 228th Street at 8:53 a.m., where they discovered William Faison, 53, had been hit by a 2011 Kia sedan while biking south on 228th Street.

Faison was brought to Jamaica Hospital and declared dead, according to the NYPD.

Officers charged the sedan driver, Tiffany Delcia Moore, with aggravated unlicensed operator, according to cops.

Faison’s mother said he biked at least three times a week for exercise. She discovered he had been struck during the workout routine when she returned from a doctor’s appointment and found the road blocked off.

“He loved God. He loves his children,” Frances Faison said of her son. “He was a good father.”

Faison, who grew up in the area, worked in the city’s probation department and later Catholic Charities, his mother said.

She said he left behind 12-year-old and 20-year-old sons as well as his church community at St. Albans Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and sang in the men’s choir.
