Police were searching for a group of men suspected of more than 20 robberies in western Queens.
Between Dec. 28 and Feb. 6 two to three men have approached victims from behind, punched them in the head and pushed them to the ground, police said. The men would then rob the victims’ belongings and flee, according to the NYPD. None of the victims sustained serious injuries, police said.
The first incident took place on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 4:30 a.m. when a 28-year-old man victim was robbed by two to three men at the intersection of Junction Boulevard and 40th Road in Corona, the NYPD said.
On Monday, Jan. 9, at 3:30 a.m. a 39-year-old man was robbed by two to three men at the intersection of 38th Avenue and 111th Street in Corona, according to authorities.
On Thursday, Jan. 26, at 4:20 a.m. a 38-year-old male victim was robbed by two to three men near 37th Avenue and 38th Avenue in Long Island City, police said.
The latest incident took place Monday, Feb 6, at 1:45 a.m. According to police, a 51-year-old man was robbed by two to three men at the intersection of Cornish Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst.
Police described the suspects as Hispanic males between 20 and 30 years old.
