JAMAICA - A young man from Jamaica wearing women’s clothing died from a gunshot wound to the thigh Aug. 21, according to police.

On the night of Aug. 18, Terrence Payne, 21, was shot outside of 104-46 on 164 Street in Jamaica within the confines of the 103rd Precinct, said authorities.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital by private means and was in critical condition the following day, police said.

Two days later he succumbed to his injuries and on Tuesday his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner.

The investigation was ongoing.
