Flushing man fatally shot near his home: NYPD

A man was found fatally shot to death in front of this Flushing home, police reported.

Cops have identified the 26-year-old man who was fatally shot multiple times on a residential Flushing street Sunday morning.

Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to a 911 call about the shooting in front of a home on 45th Avenue near 163rd Street at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 4.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found Victor Alvarenga, 26, of 164th Street, unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Paramedics rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Alvarenga lived around the corner from where he was fatally shot, police said.

Police have not yet revealed any information regarding a possible motive, or a description of the suspect(s) involved.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation was ongoing.

Wow, that neighborhood has unfortunately changed. I attended P.S. 107 which is located in that area. It was a very safe and desired neighborhood years ago.

So sad for sure. I also played roller hockey at PS 107 back in the 80s thinking I was so lucky to live near a great place like this. How times have changed. Thanks to all the filthy politicians who hate white people. You know who you are. Your days will come.
