Queens softball sweeps St. Rose

Less than a year after their best season in the history of the Queens College softball team, the Lady Knights are battling just to stay among the elite in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The team, which earned its first NCAA softball bid last year after winning the NYCAC championship, swept conference foe St. Rose, 8-4 and 10-2, Saturday, boosting its record to 19-15 overall and 10-6 in conference play, good enough for fourth place.
