Flushing pols complain of Main Street stench

Exacerbated by the summer heat, the perennial issue of sanitation in downtown Flushing has once again come to the fore, propelled in part by politicians who say it is high time for the city to redouble its clean-up efforts.

Just last week, state Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin (D-Flushing) issued a statement saying the city should seriously begin addressing the sanitation woes of Flushing as
