School: Francis Lewis

Sport: Soccer

Position: Midfielder

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-foot-3

After a spectacular freshman campaign, when she scored 11 goals in 13 games, Angela Wooley hasn’t lost a step as a sophomore, scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Newtown Monday.

After Caroline Verna put Francis Lewis ahead, 1-0, Wooley added a pair of breakaway goals as the Patriots improved to 3-0 in Queens A.

“She probably has the most club experience on the team, which is one of the most important things in this league,” Lewis coach Roger Sarmuksnis said. “I don’t have to tell her to work as hard as she can. She has the potential to be a great leader.”

Honor Roll

Lindsey Molina scored seven goals in a pair of wins for the Bryant girls’ soccer team this week ... Jaclyn Miccio netted hat trick for Townsend Harris in an 8-0 win over Richmond Hill ... Kristen Hausdorf had four goals for Cardozo in a 13-1 win over Richmond Hill.
