Flushing woman, 74, run down by SUV

Police from the 109th Precinct said the incident occurred around 10:44 p.m. Sunday.

A 74-year-old woman was struck by a 1998 Ford Explorer, police said.

The woman crossed between cars and was struck by the sport utility vehicle traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard, police said.

The victim, Yong Sun Choi, was taken to Flushing Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver remained at the scene, police said. No criminality was suspected and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
