The shooter, Giovanni Cruz, 24, of 362 Sutter Ave. in Brooklyn, entered the fast food restaurant in North Lawrence, L.I. at around 7:36 p.m. Dec. 26 when he shot 21-year-old Kevin Cruz, police said.The men had been fighting in the past over an ex-girlfriend, police said. A police spokeswoman said it was unclear whose ex-girlfriend the argument was about.Giovanni Cruz fled the Taco Bell and was found a short while later on a Nassau street with "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest" at around 8:05 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.The victim, Far Rockaway resident Kevin Cruz Ð no relation to the suspect Ð was taken to Jamaica Hospital, police said, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff at around 10:22 p.m.
